I like your feelings on the draft . I read a little about Penning that he is a penalty magnet. 34 in career compared to 6 Neal. 24 was the next closest total with no real 20 season. That makes Breno look spotless lol. Not to say Seattle will not add a vet tackle and draft there to but I think PC and JC have some confidence in Forsythe and Curhan. I looked at their college reel and starts later in the year and there may be some reason for that. Both were valued picks many thought was a steal for Seattle. Curran a UFDA projected 3 to 5 from Cal and Floyd as high as 2nd round. I hope Seattle doesn't reach for average in early rounds. Steve Hutchinson is the consultant for offensive line scouting starting officially last year and Stone was his and JS guy. Just some thoughts in a year where quantity may Trump impact from a limited lineup. Good call Seaside

Seahawks have so many important spots to be filled. In my mind I feel that LT is the biggest priority that needs to be addressed first. So I go along with you Ken, drafting Trevor Penning would be a good sold pick. Duane Brown may want more $$ in his NFL twilight years before retiring, so he may not like John's contract offer for less $$

Couldn't agree more. Almost everything I read about this draft reflects a "sweet spot" of premium players in the 25-150 range, which is where I see the Seahawks trying to load up at.

My gut is for Matt Corral. Sam Williams? Not sure where you take him. His profile isn't any better than some guys who will go in the mid second round like Bonitto or Mafe. Personally, I am dreaming of trading down a bit and still getting Wyatt, and then maybe Chenal and our front 7 will be set. If Corral or Howell are there at 40 we can do all of that.

Penning holds way to much, Infedi 2.0! Please , no reaches. If the player isn't there at 9, trade down for more picks. If a Qb gets drafted before 9 a top Edge, DB. Or OL will be there. After that take the BPA.

I'm with you on Sam Jowell I think he is a very good prospect at 40 or 41. He checks all of my boxes and is very well spoken. Even if he sits a year you can still draft a stud QB next year. I am dating myself but the old saying is your second best player should be your back up. If they pick Howell they will trot him out there at some point this year. I'm pretty sure we will see him before Geno unless Waldrons offense is so complicated, Lock, nor Howell can pick it up, it's not.

If Sam Howell is still on the board when Seattle's 3rd round pick comes up, my gut tells me that he will be a Seahawk. He can learn for a year behind Drew Lock and have his weaknesses coached up. I agree that Penning should be avoided due to his penchant or holding. I don't see JS/PC trading up in the first round. If Gardener is still available at 9, I believe they will take him.

I think you have a pretty good gut. If they were to draft Sam Williams, who reportedly has been high on Dallas' board, it would likely be at the expense of Boye Mafe. I could see a DeVonte Wyatt pick after a trade down and then Strange and Rasheed Walker a little later. They're also looking at Michael Clemons who might be a sleeper.

Based on everything I read, Penning is best suited to RT. I can’t say that I like the idea of using the top draft pick obtained for Russell Wilson on a right tackle who needs to be coached up. There’s not much top-flight talent on this team. I’d like them to take the best defensive player available with the first pick and use the second on a tackle.
